Scivera in chemical arena

At Scivera, we envision a world where everyone is safer because the products they are using are chemically safer.
Whether this is through brands being able to take a proactive approach to product development by verifying the chemicals used in their products are safe, or suppliers being able to share important chemical safety data without sacrificing their proprietary information, we believe everyone can contribute to sustainable chemistry.
As a proven and trusted partner to global brands and suppliers, we have been turning this vision into a reality since 2008 with our revolutionary software, SciveraLENS. This cloud-based program utilizes more than 4,000 chemical hazard assessments (CHAs) completed by board-certified toxicologists—the largest library in existence—and an easy to understand 23-endpoint user interface to help brands and suppliers know exactly what chemicals are in their products and identify safer alternatives when needed. With more than 85% of hazardous chemicals in existence being unrestricted, simple list-checking isn’t enough. By moving past a compliance mentality to this proactive approach, entire supply chains can save time, money, and their reputation by ensuring safe products from the start.
In 2021, Scivera joined the Enhesa group in order to better help build a safer, more sustainable world. The combination with Enhesa’s core global regulatory intelligence and Chemical Watch’s independent, journalistic insights today is a unique trilogy in the market, and we are excited about what this opportunity means for sustainable chemistry.

Scivera Chemical Certifications
Scivera is licensed or otherwise authorized to certify chemical assessments for various third-party assessment frameworks. Scivera’s team of board-certified toxicologists certifies individual chemical assessments for the following frameworks and standards:

Screened Chemistry

civera works with several global apparel and footwear brands including, Levis Strauss & Co, Nike, H&M, C&A, Gap, Inc., and others to assess, score, and certify textile chemical formulations. Scoring textile chemical products for Screened Chemistry enables textile mills and other users of chemicals in the apparel and footwear supply chain to compare chemical products using a simple numeric score. Chemical products with a higher score embody safer chemical attributes to improve human and environmental health impact.

Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) :: MRSL Conformance Level 1

civera and SciveraLENS® is an authorized Conformance Body for the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List (MRSL) for Level 1 Conformance. Scivera’s Toxicology Team and SciveraLENS® support textile chemicals companies in screening and certifying textile chemical products against the ZDHC MRSL to document reduction of hazardous chemicals from the textile chemical supply chain.
Visit our ZDHC MRSL Conformance Guidance or contact Scivera ZDHC MRSL Team at [email protected] to learn more.

Global Electronics Council :: EPEAT Registration
Scivera’s GHS+ Chemical Hazard Assessment Framework is an authorized method for the EPEAT Standard. Electronics OEMs and electronics suppliers can make use of SciveraLENS®. Companies use 1000s of GHS+ assessments available in SciveraLENS® to pre-screen chemicals and formulations for quick and cost-effective exploration of EPEAT achievement. Scivera’s board-certified toxicologists then will review the formulation to confirm EPEAT Registration.

Labeling of Hazardous Materials Act (LHAMA) Evaluation and Certification
Scivera’s toxicologists are authorized by the US Consumer Product Safety Commission to perform LHAMA Evaluations for art materials sold in the United States.

GreenScreen® for Safer Chemicals
Scivera is a Licensed GreenScreen Profiler, which means Scivera’s board-certified toxicologists are authorized to process GreenScreen chemical hazard assessments. The GreenScreen Program is managed by Clean Production Action. Contact Scivera ([email protected] or through our form here) for more information on Scivera’s GreenScreen services.
